Aceti's Pizzeria

Aceti's Pizzeria @ Sports Bar is a family restaurant serving authentic home-made Italian food since 1966. Armed with a recipe and a dream, Leonardo and Rosina Aceti opened a small kitchen serving pizza pies. Using the recipe they were raised with in Cosenza, Italy, they would make their dough from scatch by hand using only the finest ingredients and quality toppings.

Word quickly spread throughout the Hamilton area about a great tasting pizza and it wasn't long before the demand outgrew the capabilties of the small kitchen. 1970 saw the addition of a dining room to accomodate guests desire to eat the fresh pizzas straight from the oven. 1984 saw the addition of the now famous centre bar. Unlike the fast food pizzas of today, we believed in 1966 that great pizzas begin with quality toppings on fresh hand-stretched dough and we still believe it today. It is why we still make our pizzas the old fashioned way.
