Kimberly SweetWater is an intuitive-empathic artist who lives and works in Massachusetts. Born and raised in Milford, she was involved in many creative pursuits throughout high school and college-where she received her B.A. in Fine Arts studying to be an Interior Designer at Suffolk University’s New England School of Art and Design. Her path shaped and birthed a unique self-expression of her experiences within the subject matter. She is heavily influenced by interests stemming from childhood; architectural design & decor, music, theatre, fashion, astrology, theology and anthropology.
Into adulthood, she found her passions leading towards finding her personal spirituality by exploring the purpose of humanity and of the individual’s part relating to the whole, our connection to Nature or a higher power and all workings of the hidden mysteries. Growing up she was unknowingly empathetic; she was always tuned into the energies of others, the overall vibrations of the world and what felt like the subtlest of feelings.
Kimberly’s style and overall tone is influenced by the teachings of her spiritual teachers, alternative and holistic healing modalities to which the message of ‘Love is a part of every experience and every experience is Love’. Her use of colors and free-hand images are meant to capture emotion one would experience, what that experience with that emotion is teaching you and how it is helping you grow throughout your lifetime; which begs the question-what is Love?
With her unique representation, Kimberly works to dive into one of the most complex of emotions in a human experience and her ideology by relating them to colors, elemental symbols and incorporating a variety of topics such as spiritual ecology, philosophy, psychology, and all worldly religious systems and practices. Her passionate and curious desire to understand one’s own Nature or authentic self and the mysteries of the Soul’s Journey have shaped much of how she moves through the world and being present in her own experiences.
Upon deciding to use her gifts in a fun, constructive form along with her education in the arts, she began exploring her own life experiences from a viewpoint of her own character as the intention for her work. Her creations hold a spoken wisdom that strongly felt called to be shared for a purpose as simple as aiding others who would also resonate with a particular piece. Her art is meant as a visual teacher to the Soul, bringing us back to the foundations of life’s duality both within and without. One is a witness to their own soul work by simply gazing and/or meditating on the images and the writings of the title. Kimberly’s hope and intention is for her creations to be passed on from one being to the next; to whoever is drawn to work with the images.
