Mandate

The Organization, its governing structures and agencies, will do all that is required by member First Nations, to advance First Nations Interests.
Formulating programs and services to meet community needs
Establishing policies and strategies that complement our programs and services ensuring communities receive maximum benefit
Promoting self-government and self-determination
Assisting in the transfer of authority, responsibility and accountability to each First Nation
Continually evolving to meet First Nations’ changes in their workplace, including administrative and technological environments

Membership of the Corporation
Ten Ojibway First Nations have committed themselves to the present Tribal Council. Bimose Tribal Council was incorporated under federal jurisdiction in December 1987.
