Build Blue

Build Blue is a multidisciplinary campus group that is committed to catalyzing and supporting social innovations created by students. It serves as an incubator, school, and community platform for young, emerging leaders, activists, and social entrepreneurs to develop new skills, thinking, models and methods of making positive impact on people and the environment in the 21st-century.

We believe in empowering our youth to challenge the status quo through an unconventional learning environment and methodology that fosters innovation, creativity, and collaboration. By empowering our youth, it will inspire them to navigate through 21st-century challenges and engage in solving social issues through innovative ideas that mobilizes social changes.

Our vision is to inspire sustainable youth-led social innovations that have a measurable impact on people and the world.

Our mission is to foster all forms of social innovations that address and engage in solving various issues in the Greater Toronto Area through the necessary environments, resources, networks and supports.

Build Blue is well-positioned to being Scarborough's leading social innovation hub by serving as an incubator for all social innovations. Scarborough, as well as other neighbourhoods and communities in the Greater Toronto Area, has the opportunity to be transformed by and through youth-led initiatives, and Build Blue wants to create the space for that transformation to happen.
