Dani Yannece Counselling

Welcome! I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to compassionately support clients and their personal goals for therapy.

My clients include people from diverse backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, and cultures. I have experience with a wide variety of presenting problems including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and various experiences of trauma.

I integrate a variety of approaches to best help clients including feminist, narrative, family systems and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy).

I have a Master's of Education (MEd) in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. My application for my RCC (Registered Clinical Counsellor) designation is pending but I have completed all of the requirements. They are: holds a minimum of a master’s degree or equivalent education, has satisfied the clinical experience and supervision requirements that are part of our criteria for membership, has submitted a clear criminal record check. I will update this as soon as my application has been processed and accepted.

My goal is to fill an ever-widening gap in the need for affordable mental health care. My rates are sliding scale from $60-$90 per 50 minute session. If applicable, $50 dollar sessions for a limited number of clients are available. I also see clients pro bono but there are no openings at this time.

A Little About Me
Three years ago, I moved to Vancouver from Brooklyn, NY to pursue a degree in counselling in beautiful British Columbia. In addition to counselling my interests include making and seeing art, nature, spending time with friends and my tripod mutt, Lloyd Hobler.
