We believe music should be stripped to its soul. Because all the digital bells and whistles today still got nothing on a killer performance.

That's why we love musicians who are as gutsy and determined as we are. Much like the mystery fifth and sixth Beatle, our job is simply to roll up our sleeves and get in there - even if we need to get down to your jam space for a better listen.

OUR STORY

We've been friends since we were six years old. So you could say we've had some time to cement our approach. We grew up together, played in the same band and later learned the ins and outs of the recording studio. Our humble beginnings consisted of a tiny office space above a dingy diner. Today, we work as a drummer/guitarist-engineer duo with over 20 years’ experience writing, arranging and producing records between us. Imagine!

The Freq Shop is a professional recording facility nestled in the bosom of the Mothership band resort. Designed by an acoustician but furnished for comfort and creativity. Spilled your beer? We got it. You just worry about nailing that track.

It's a versatile space too. Perfect for studio recording, mixing and mastering to 1/4" tape. It doubles as a live venue or a great spot for a photo shoot, film screening or vernissage. We offer block rates, with or without an engineer. The studio is also available to all you freelance producers and engineers. Just treat her nice.
