Friends of City Hall

Friends of City Hall is a nonprofit organization born of community love for a grand but neglected old building. The City Hall of Marine City was designed by the architects Mason and Rice and constructed in 1884. It is on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982 and was made a single resource Historic District in 2008. Ten years ago it faced a significant threat of demolition. Preservationists prevailed, but completing restoration is an ongoing financial struggle. The exterior has been repaired and stabilized but the interior remains unfinished. Please help us protect and preserve our history.
