Friends of Grace Place

Grace Place, located in one of the poorest areas of Thunder Bay, ON, is a street ministry that ministers to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our community who are poor, homeless, and those who suffer from addictions, mental illness and/or are socially marginalized. Our ministry is volunteer led and operates entirely on the finanicial donations from individuals and other organizations in order to provide free services/care and support to people in need in our community. Our free services include:

serving approximately 1000 hot meals/week
providing free clothing, personal care products, baby supplies, and small household items
distributing approximately 120 food hampers monthly and emergency hampers as needed
providing access to free services/support through community partners/volunteers including street nursing, EMS health promotion/prevention care, haircuts, Narcotics Anonymous
offering spiritual and pastoral care to individuals struggling with addictions, prostitution, and poverty
giving pastoral support during times of tragedy, crisis, incarceration, or hospitalization
conducting services for baptisms, marriages, and funerals
Sunday church services with a time of worship, teaching, and ministry
