We are a small family farm located 45 minutes north of Red Deer in the scenic Lockhart valley which provides the necessary ingredients for sustainable, holistic and humane products. Our philosophy is to raise high quality meat with a distinct flavor that we are proud to serve to our family and friends. At Green Bos Farm we offer two types of beef; grass finished and farm raised. Our grass feed animals are taken off pasture between 18 to 20 months with a hanging weight of approximately 600 pounds. Grass feed beef is high in Omega 3s and low in saturated fats. At 18- 20 months our farm raised animals are taken off of pasture and finished on a grain and hay diet for 3 to 4 months which increases the amount of marbling in the final product. The types of meat you choose comes down to taste and texture preference and after the first bite you will know that our Beef is the Bos!
