Amber Biondich, family nurse practitioner, in August 2016 took over for Doreen Swendsen, who retired after 14 years with the organization. Splitting her time between I Falls Family Planning and Rainy Lake Medical Center, Biondich said she is up to the task.

A bulk of I Falls Family Planning patients are younger women, but the clinic will serve anyone in the community and takes most Minnesota-based insurances. What is attractive to patients is the confidentiality and flexibility of the clinic.
“We’re smaller...than a whole clinic,” she said. “For patients who are a little more shy, it’s a nice place to come.”
