Program Offerings:

Security Guard Training:

Our Security Guard Training Program will provide you with the skills you need to write the provincial licensing exam and follow a career in security (security guard, air port security, bouncer, loss prevention). In keeping with the standards set forth by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, we are an approved training provider/private career college. Our program covers practical fieldwork techniques, professional communications and effective handling of situations that arise in security work. Monthly intake is offered.

Smart Serve:
The Smart Serve Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service Training Program is approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) as a server training program for the Ontario hospitality industry. Depending on leaner needs, instructor led classes or online programs are available on a continuous basis.

National Food Safety Training Program (Safe Food Handling):
Insight Advantage is an approved National Food Safety Training Program provider. This is a food safety training program that meets the needs of foodservice operators from coast-to-coast. Designed to train and certify quick-service, full-service, chain and independent operators and employees to a national standard of food safety. Monthly instructor led and online facilitated courses are available.

Standard First Aid & CPR:
As a Red Cross Training Partner, Insight Advantage delivers quality first aid certification instruction. Monthly classes are offered.

Mental Health First Aid (Basic):
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a 2 day program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. MHFA is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved. Please contact us for upcoming sessions.

Job Search Training:
Our job search program delivers all of the essential skills needed to secure long-term employment. The program includes: résumé development, cover letters, job search correspondence, networking, hidden job market, interviewing skills/techniques, job search resources, completing applications and conducting an internet job search.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training:
The ASIST workshop is for those who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Over one million caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop.
Participation in the full two days is required. Enjoy small group discussions and skills practice that are based upon adult learning principles. Experience powerful videos on suicide intervention. Feel challenged and safe. Learn suicide first aid.
