Joan Minnery is a one woman force of inspiration. She is a genuine go-getter with an indomitable spark plug of contagious effervescence. The pint-sized energizer bunny is a beacon of energy as she instructs her fitness classes and entertains crowds all over North America.

Joan wears many hats as a Mother, Music Educator, Motivational Speaker, Professional Entertainer, Zumba Instructor, Dance Teacher, Weight Management Consultant, Drama Coach and Health Journalist. Joan is also a published author of the bestselling book, WALKING MY WAY BACK TO ME, her personal transformation autobiography.

Joan runs the Brantford Cabaret, the Starr Sensations Music Studio, Touch of Sass performance troupe and is the CEO of Joan Minnery Enterprises. Joan has been nominated 5 times for the Brantford Citizen of the Year. She is the recipient of both the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals for Community Volunteerism, Health Advocacy and Leading Young Children towards Music. She won the Tourism Ambassador Award in 2004 and was voted Brantford Best Professional Entertainer in 2013 as well as being voted Brantford’s Best Fitness Instructor in 2012 and 2013.

Born in February 1966, Joan has enjoyed a lucrative amazing career in the entertainment industry and continues to foster a bounty of aspiring singers and actors onto her stages. She is affectionately known as the “Elvis Lady” for her impassioned musical quest to keep the memories of Elvis alive along with the songs of yesteryear. Joan is the founding director of the Brantford Elvis Festival, an award winning tourism attraction along with being the coordinator of several Elvis and Oldies tribute groups.

Embarking on a courageous battle to save the life of her son’s mom due to staggering health issues; Joan’s weight loss story has inspired thousands through her very real, raw, relatable and honest journey of how she successfully transformed her once poisoned body in an award winning adventure novel. Joan’s journey to a healthier life style has inspired a community; transforming her personal story into a weight loss revolution.
