Biography
Changing careers after 20 years is both challenging and exciting.

Joining the team at Investors Group Financial Services Inc. has been an incredibly positive experience, as I believe it is the team that makes Investors Group one of the best financial planning firms in Canada.

Spending 20 years in the travel industry has given me a unique perspective of the world – from the view of service provider on the front line, to the detail oriented mindset of a travel agent, the organizational skill set of tour group escort or to the role of Business Development Manager. I always enjoyed the role of Sales Representative for one of Canada’s larger tour operators, where no two days were ever the same.

The benefit of having extensive personal and professional experience in both travel and business development, is that I have learned that I have outstanding planning and problem solving skills, all of which are relevant to financial planning since no two financial plans are ever the same.

My personal view of financial planning is that a holistic approach works – from the initial assessment, to developing a written plan, to meeting for an annual review. Looking at the big picture combined with providing the quality service I would expect for myself, to all clients, sets me apart from other providers and allows me to provide the value to each client they deserve.
