Lochaber Growers

Lochaber Growers is an emerging farming cooperative based in scenic
Lochaber Valley, Nova Scotia. Situated at the head of the lake, it consists of five individual small farms, that have joined forces to produce a weekly Food Box, or CSA (community supported agriculture), as well as supply the Antigonish Farmers Market, each Saturday, and other local markets and restaurants.

Our aim is to grow the best tasting and most healthy food for our customers. Through our cooperation, we hope to enhance our own food production, while inviting and encouraging new farmers in our area. The farmers who make up Lochaber Growers are a collaboration of old and wise, and young and wily!

Sid and Barb Taylor are well known for production of top quality fresh strawberries and wild blueberries. John and Bonnie Quinn are known for their greenhouse tomatoes, sweet corn, lettuce and basil. Fenn Martin has gained notoriety for his Ohio Garlic brand. Brian and Theresa Gillis promote root vegetables, fresh chards and salad greens. JonathanTaylor is a pioneer in hoop house production and will be supplying asparagus and peppers along with other foods. Working together, we are able to provide a full compliment of fresh vegetables and berries! Drop in anytime, to see our gardens at work!
