About the Owners: Karl & Amy Peters
Karl’s roots are in the area of the shop he owns. He grew up on Preston Avenue, and, as a teenager, worked as a gas attendant at the Eastview Esso that was located on the corner of Preston and Louise. He attended SIAST Kelsey Campus and apprenticed for four years at Eastview Esso, before obtaining his Journeyperson Certification in 2001. After 10 years of service, Eastview Esso closed its doors, and Karl soon began working as a Journeyperson at Market Mall Auto Service (formerly Certigard), conveniently located on the other corner of Preston and Louise. In September of 2016, Karl and his wife Amy, a Chartered Professional Accountant, purchased Market Mall Auto Service. Together they have three children.

Karl’s interest in mechanics was inspired by his late Grandfather, Philip Boll. Naturally mechanically inclined, Philip spent the majority of his working life as an instructor in various capacities. Among other accomplishments, Corporal Boll served with the Royal Canadian Airforce instructing aero-engine mechanics, crew-flight engineers, and the Master Mechanics course. He was also involved with both the implementation and oversight of the Heavy Duty Mechanics course at SIAST Campus in Saskatoon.
