Councilman Matt Zone is recognized nationally, regionally and locally as a leader on environmental and arts & cultural issues.
Currently, he serves as the President of the National League of Cities. Regionally, Matt is a past President of the Northeast Ohio City Council Association and serves on the Regional Prosperity Initiative. Locally, Matt is an advocate for alternative energy and green building. His ward is home to the only EcoVillage in Ohio. Matt has been the driving force behind the development of the Gordon Square Arts District and authored Cleveland’s percent for arts program.
Matt is a graduate of Cleveland State University, married to Michelle, and they have one son.
