My name is Wendy Chorley and I have been teaching in the Edmonton area since 1985. I teach both private piano and theory, and Music for Young Children group lessons. My goal is to create a passion for music in children and show that learning music can be fun.

Why start studying music at a young age? Research shows there are many benefits to a musical education. Learning to read music and play an instrument builds self-discipline, confidence, and concentration. Children who participate in music lessons tend to have greater success in other academic areas. They learn to listen, work with others in a group setting. They feel success as they progress through the music levels. They learn how to problem solve and how to persevere.
