Nunavut Youth LEAP / ᓄᓇᕗᒻᒥ ᐃᓅᓱᒃᑐᑦ LEAP

Nunavut Youth LEAP is an Iqaluit-based non-profit that provides Land-based Education and Adventure Programming to young people in our territory.

Our mission is to create a safe and exciting space, in town or on the land, for participants to take on new challenges, build on their strengths and leadership and learn about themselves.

Since 2005, over 1,300 Nunavummiut, mostly Inuit, have participated in our adventure programs. Our programs can include, but aren't limited to : team building, outdoor/land skills, long-distance cross-country ski expeditions, iglu building workshops, as well specialized leadership courses.

2015 marks our 10th season. LEAP is a "work-in- progress" and it's an ongoing journey to learn how we can better serve the youth we have have the honour of sharing time with. Please get in touch with us if you would like to get involved or to share constructive feedback & ideas.
