Mission Statement:
It is our belief at Pawsitively Balanced Dog Training that every dog and handler will benefit from formal obedience training and a relationship based upon mutual respect. Our love and passion for dogs is the driving force behind our business, and it is our aim to instill that same passion in each and every one of our clients.

About The Owners:
Mckayla Meyer has had a passion for dogs from the time she was a young child. After raising and training her first dog, she sought out work in the field of dog care, working in numerous kennels and dog boarding facilities, and eventually branching out into protection training, scent work, basic and advanced obedience, and other dog sports. In order to further her career, Mckayla attended Canada West Canine Centre in Salmon Arm, BC, earning the title of Master Trainer.

Tasman Toon has loved animals for as long as she can remember and has always had a passion for working with them. Beginning by training client's dogs for free, Tasman sought out work in a dog boarding and kennel facility and proceeded to train her own dogs as a hobby which she hoped to grow into a profession. To achieve this goal, Tasman attended the Canada West Canine Centre in Salmon Arm, BC, and earned the title of Master Obedience Trainer.

Basic Obedience Group Classes:
-8 Weeks of class (1 night a week)
-1 hour per class (subject to change)
-maximum 10 dogs per class
-basic on leash obedience will be covered

Advanced Obedience Group Classes:
-8 Weeks of class (1 night a week)
-1 hour per class (subject to change)
-maximum 10 dogs per class
-off leash obedience, hand signals, and distance work will be covered

Puppy Socialization Classes:
-offer a safe and controlled environment for puppies who are fully vaccinated to interact, play, and learn valuable social skills
-professional trainers on site to help clients learn to interpret dog body language, how and when to properly step into a situation with their dog, the difference between playing and getting out of hand, etc will all be covered in detail.

In Home Training and Consultations:
-ideal for clients who's dogs may be uncomfortable with other dogs, new people, etc.
-convenient for individuals living far from town or working hours preventing attendance to group obedience classes.
-certified professional dog trainers competent and skilled in working with dogs with but not limited to: aggression issues, fear based issues, leash manners, obedience, on and off leash control, dominance issues and property training.
