Rorketon Fire Department

Situated in Rorketon, the Rorketon Fire Department covers a broad area in the RM of Lakeshore. The small hamlets include Toutes Aides, Horyn, Weiden, Magnet, East Bay, Million, Moose Bay, and Abbotshall. Christensen Beach, Methley Beach and Manipogo Park are also covered by the department.
The fire department has one pumper truck and one tender truck stationed at the fire hall. Currently, there are twelve paid-call firefighters on the department. Training nights are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. The department belongs to the Lake Winnipegosis Mutual Aid Training District, where in a case if assistance is needed, the department can call for extra help.
Rorketon Fire Department has a vast array of rescue equipment, most of which is stored on the pumper truck. Some of these tools include: Jaws of Life (including spreaders and mini-cutter), rescue saws, high pressure air bags, stabilizer posts, and a positive pressure ventilation fan. Six self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) are also on board the pumper truck.
