Samaritan House Community Ministries was started in Barrie 14 years ago when a Reverend moved to Barrie to become the Reverened of a local church. Prior to their move, he and his wife had started a ministry which they ran for 14 years through their church in Manitoba. It was the wife's prayer to start the same type of ministry here in Barrie and serve those in need in our local community. Many prayers over the birth of this ministry lead her to approach the Reverend at Burton Ave, United Church to partner with her in opening a Resource Centre for those less fortunate
