More about Saskatoon Rowing Club

The SRC is both an extremely competitive and a friendly social rowing club training out of the Victoria Park boathouse in Saskatoon, SK located in Victoria Park and Spadina Crescent West, off of Avenue H and 15th St. Although the Saskatoon Rowing Club has a relatively small member count comparative to many other rowing clubs in Canada, it has a long history of rowing success at the local, national, and international levels and a family atmosphere amongst participants of its diverse programs.

The Saskatoon Rowing Club participates in and travels to many national and international regattas to compete with other local and international rowing clubs across mainly Canada and the United States. Some of these regattas include Regina Sprints (Regina, SK), Alberta Open (Calgary, AB), Prairie Championships (Leduc, AB), Northwest International Regatta (held alternatively in different locations throughout the United States and Canada), Head of the Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), Head of the Vermillion (Lakeland College), Head of the Weasel (Calgary, AB), National Rowing Championships/ NRC's (Welland, ON), and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catherine's, ON (the biggest international regatta in North America).

However, there are also many opportunities for anyone not particularly interested in being a competitive rower and more interested in getting outside to utilize the beautiful river in the summer and staying healthy and active during the winter months.

During the summer months, the SRC has several programs available for people of many ages and skill to be involved in. We are ALWAYS looking for new members and welcome novice rowers and athletes with open arms. Our programs currently available include:

- Learn to Row classes (available in 2 week courses throughout the summer)
- DOFY and Adaptive rowing
- Rec Rowing for new and non competitive members

- Competitive and Non-Competitive Masters rowing (aged roughly 30+)
- Competitive Senior rowing (aged roughly 19-30)
- Junior program (aged 15-20)
- Junior High Performance rowing/ Provincial Team Saskatchewan rowing competing at Jeux Canada Games and Western Canada Games (aged 15-20)

Please check out our website if you are interested in taking a Learn to Row and joining a program, or send us an email! We'd love to see you down at the boathouse!
