Some Information

GENERAL
We have been involved with dogs for over 40 years both as a breeder and a professional handler as well as a conformation instructor and an obedience instructor. Peter is a nurse so has a depth of knowledge about signs and symptoms of illnesses and of general malaise. Carole also is capable in that area because of her association for a long time with many breeds of dogs.

The kennel building is heated by two stoves in the winter and is cooled in the summer.
The runs inside the building are 3, 4, or 5 foot wide by 6 feet. This depends on the size of the dog. The runs on the outside of the building are 14 feet long by 3, 4, or 5 feet corresponding to the size of the run on the inside of the building.

The dogs are walked twice a day. They are walked after their morning meal and after their evening meal.
There is free access to the outside runs all day except in severe weather conditions which would adversely affect the inside of the building. Then we let the dogs out on one side of the kennel, and keep the other side closed. Then we alternate that process all day.

We do require that your dog be Vaccinated as required for Distemper, Hepatitis, Adenovirus, Rabies, every three years, and Bortadella, yearly. This is for your dog’s protection as well as for the other dogs in the kennel. You can discuss this with Peter or Carole at any time.

FOOD
We now carry only one type of food – a lamb based food. You are welcome (and we recommend this for short stays) to bring your own food.
Medication: we will administer your dog’s medication as it requires for no extra charge.

PRICES: Long Term Boarding Prices upon request
Our rates are charged as follows: Full rate the first day no matter the arrival time. If your dog is picked up before noon on the last day of its stay, there will be no charge for that day.
All dogs owned by one person: One dog: $20; second dog $18; third dog $16. Additional dogs: $16. There is a discount of 5 % if your dogs stay f0r 7 days, a 7.5% discount if the stay is over 10 days and10% if your dog(s) stays 21 days or longer.

The balance owing for your dog’s stay may be paid by either cash or cheque only. We do not have credit or debit card capabilities. There are no other charges for any of the above services - only the required government taxes.

Our entire staff will try to make your dog’s stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible
