Tumour Foundation of BC

The Tumour Foundation of BC is the new name of the BC Neurofibromatosis Foundation.

The BCNF has served the children and families living with neurofibromatosis for 32 years, and we will continue to do so under our new moniker.

Neurofibromatosis, also known as NF, is a genetically inherited disorder of the nervous system which causes tumours to develop on nerves throughout the body. NF is more common than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington's disease combined.

After three decades it was time for the organization to transform to ensure its sustainability.

The first step in our transformation was to change our name and the way we look. This is only the beginning of a new journey for the organization.

While we look different, our commitment to the NF community remains strong. We will have new patient education and support programs unveiled in the months ahead.
