MISSION STATEMENT

We are committed to leading people on a life-changing journey. We honour God together by growing as authentic Christ followers who are passionate in worship, disciplined in life, committed in relationships, bold in witness, and active in service.

VISION STATEMENT

The following vision statement represents the desire of the congregation of West Park Church to significantly impact thousands of families and individuals here in our region and around the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. In doing so, we must embrace change for the sake of ministry effectiveness, always striving to be culturally relevant and biblically faithful. Our vision demands persistent prayer, bold faith, joyful sacrifice, and strategic focus.

Passionate in Worship – 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 66:1-5

We are committed to the intentional teaching of God’s Word with meaningful application that results in changed lives. We welcome people of all ages and from all walks of life, while focusing on those who most naturally respond to the compelling experience and relaxed atmosphere in any of our blended or modern worship services where we ask God to touch both head and heart.

Disciplined in Life – Hebrews 10:23-25, Romans 12:2

We are committed to challenging one another to ongoing spiritual growth. Our LifeGroups and Life Training Centre teaching electives provide the learning components for each individual’s personalized LifePath for discipleship.

Committed in Relationships – John 15:12-13, Romans 12:10a

We are committed to building strong relationships throughout our church. Our Connect Groups and LifeGroups allow people to gather around common interests or life stages in order to feel a sense of belonging.

Bold in Witness – Ephesians 6:19, Matthew 25:37-40, John 4:27-38

We are committed to influencing our neighbours locally and globally for good and for God. We will be salt and light. Our Partnerships draw the church into the community and the world, while our Community Events draw the community into the church.

Active in Service – Colossians 3:23-24

We are committed to a high level of ministry participation. We are determined to help every person serve in ways that correspond with their spiritual gifts, passions and life experiences. We also envision becoming a ministry resource for other congregations and supporting church planting initiatives
