Mother Nature is the ultimate teacher. The outstanding Okanagan is like a massive corridor in the school of life, and sometimes we feel like school monitors—the really nice ones. Other times, we take on the role of the friendly custodian. But, mostly we know we are students, and we strive to take Nature’s lessons seriously.

4 Elements’ designs are based on sustainability, providing measurable savings for customers. While installations are comparable in price to traditional approaches, long-term savings in time and money are realized through reduced and low-impact maintenance.

4 Elements’ design division provides innovative plans which encompass long-term vision. Careful planning ensures low maintenance for the future. Okanagan-appropriate plantings produce phenomenal results.

4 Elements’ construction division emphasizes reusing existing materials, and/or sourcing local ones; we’re always seeking to reduce our carbon footprint whether it is shading your home to cut power costs, or ensuring product transportation is minimized—even our visits are well scheduled as a cost saving measure to you and to the planet.

4 Elements Landscape and Design regards each client, employee, project partners, and the environment with equal respect. We keep apprised of environmental news which allows us to make responsible recommendations and decisions.

We’re Garret Radchenko and Daniel Parschauer, and as active and dedicated owners we employ forward thinkers, and actively update staff with current philosophy. We involve the client as a partner and team member to the level each customer wishes.

Available for work throughout the Okanagan, the scope and region in which we intend to ‘get it done’ is unlimited.

Can non-residential enterprises be aligned with nature? Creative Commercial? Imaginative Industrial? We think so: plans can be slightly tweaked for a positive environmental partnership and measurable savings.

Innovative strategies, including rainwater gardens, vertical design—essentially living walls—and edible landscape plantings can be incorporated into ANY space, including those considered ‘traditional-conventional’.

Landscaping design is not just for grand vistas of mansions which front the lake and back the mountains, but includes those referred to as ‘postage stamp gardens’. From the smallest balcony to a vast parking lot, every space can flourish.
