7 Layers Vinarterta

Two Sisters working together to make the world a better place, one Vinarterta at a time.

We have taken our great-Amma's (grandmother) coveted family recipe and are offering up the traditional Icelandic desert for others to indulge.

What is Vinarterta? It is a traditional Icelandic celebration cake. The cake has 7 layers of Icelandic Pastry (which is almost cookie like) and 7 layers of prune jam.

Our Vinarterta's secret? The homemade jam of course! This is a delectable desert to be enjoyed year round.

We offer cake sizes of 8 inches (7 layers - get it?) and cookies (that come in 3 layers). The cookies can be shared by two, or if you're like us, you will want to treat yourself to your very own.

Our Vinarterta can be ordered traditionally with icing, or naked for those of you who have less of a sweet tooth. Why the two icing options you ask? Simple, we as sisters cannot agree (one likes and one does not) so why not have the best of both worlds?
