The cinemas of Africa consistently deliver some of most impressive, urgent, and engaged films in all of contemporary world cinema. Our annual festival showcases the best of African cinema’s diverse and extraordinary films and filmmakers. Films selected each year are all Ottawa premieres, and together reveal impressive and emerging voices from across the five regions of the African continent.
