The 511 system is operated and managed by ADOT&PF. While we strive to update information as quickly as possible, we offer no guarantee the information is real-time. Road conditions can change quickly and without notice.
ADOT&PF have partnered with Alaska State Troopers for entering information on crashes and delays on our highways. We also post information from Anchorage Police Department, Valdez Police Department and Fairbanks Police Department in terms of delays or closures on our highways in their jurisdiction.

The State of Alaska does not have a Statewide Traffic Operations Center, like some other states do. We do not have personnel monitoring the 511 system 24/7 365 days a year. We make every effort to push information out from multiple sources and our agency partnerships.
