The Alliance Française du Manitoba has developed and evolved since its first meetings were held at the University of Manitoba in 1915. An important turning point was passed when it officially became a language school thanks to courageous volunteers… in 1984, the French government sent a civil servant to run the school’s daily activities. The school had to move locations for more space until it finally reached its present premises in 1993 in the house located at 934 Corydon Ave. Today, 700 students and members are learning French at the Alliance each year.
