About Massage Therapy ~

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.


About Andrea ~

Andrea graduated from Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington Ontario in 2004. She has worked in clinics alongside Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Massage Therapists throughout Southern Ontario. She has recently moved back to her home, the Niagara Region.
She has had extensive experience in treating a variety of conditions including repetitive strain injuries, headaches, neck and upper back pain, sciatica, low back pain, tennis elbow and generalized chronic pain to name a few.
She believes that massage therapy is not just for physical ailments, but also for the mind. With a keen interest in mental health, she sees the connection between mind and body and believes that massage therapy can help people cope with symptoms of depression and anxiety by relieving tension, stress and releasing toxins in the body.
Andrea is a multimedia artist. She enjoys oil painting, making music, computer arts and photography. She loves being out in nature and taking in the beauty and wonder of the world around her.
