Many people I have come to know all ask me the same thing why should I hire a professional Photographer when I can go to Wal-Mart and get it done for 10$. Here’s my answer to that, Yes you absolutely can go to any Large chain store to get your pictures taken and they will provide you with a adequate production picture as I have come to call cookie cutter photography, the same ones you receive from schools, and the same quality of image produced. Now as any parent or person who has taken this route knows, you will not be guaranteed an image your 100% happy with, you may very well receive images with subjects being poorly lit and in very stoic poses. Now while that’s all fine and dandy but that 10$ price tag doesn’t stay at just the 10$ you have taxes added on so its more like 15$ and of course you have to have the collages and the calendar as well as extra 8x10s and 5x7s so you can gift them out at Christmas to family and friends, or another option they offer is the disk for a whopping $250 and you can print at your convenience in the amounts you wish.
This brings me to why a Professional Photographer is cheaper over all. First most of them do have standard backgrounds available for the classic poses and I myself will shoot till I have enough images captured to make me happy. I say me simply because I have yet to meet someone more critical of my work than myself. Second like many photographers I travel so if you have a spot you just have to have your picture taken at its totally do-able and welcomed. If you want your pet, by all means bring them too. You see what a professional Photographer does is personalize the shoot to each client to give them that picture perfect image that they love every time they look at it, and offer a disk with the images for your printing convenience for a lower cost than the department stores. Each Photographer sets their own Prices based on what others are charging and tailor it to their own experiences. Not all offer Print options; I, however have chosen to partner with a print lab to do just that making it more convenient for you as a client. Let me take the guess work out of where is it better to get Christmas cards done up and those pesky re prints for friends and family that keep multiplying in numbers from your worries and break it down to a personalized package tailored to your needs.
