Erle Arksey started this business back in 1960. Daryl Arksey manages this family business now. Not too much has changed over the years, except, of course, when they decided to join Castle Building Centres. "Now, we have the combined buying power of more than 220 stores across this country. We can be as competitive as many of the big box-type home supply and renovation stores. And in a small community like this, that means so much," states Arksey.
"At Arksey Lumber, we know that whether you are looking for lumber, building materials or hardware, you're looking for expert advice and someone you can count on. Contractors and consumers have been relying on this business for years to be their building supply partner. They know and trust us to deliver quality product and value with every visit, regardless of whether you're looking for shingles, windows or lumber."
Arksey's customers come from Woodville, Oakwood, Pefferlaw and even Sunderland. "Perhaps you need to build a new deck or replace an old one; maybe you need to replace some older windows with vinyl clad casements. Regardless, remember that local delivery is always free."
