Art of Vintage

Heather and Lori Oliphant are a sister picker team (salvage hunters) that grew up on a family farm 12 miles from Eston, Saskatchewan.

Their dad, 87 years young now, has been collecting antiques his entire life. Some pieces he has managed to completely re-store and others remain in the shed and referred to as that “winter project he just hasn’t got to yet.” His collection includes everything from a 1946- homemade snow plane to a wide variety of collectable tractors including a 1927, #15 caterpillar.

Perhaps inherited in the genes, in 2013 his daughters Heather and Lori starting collecting antiques and vintage items specifically to restore and re-sell in Calgary Alberta.

The sisters love hunting for that perfect piece of junk (usually on its way to the landfill) and transforming it into something functional, unique and desirable. The process required to transform some of the pieces collected can be very labor intensive and requires a very specific skill set. Other pieces are left in their original condition and basically just get the dust and dirt cleaned off. Our clients do appreciate what it takes to give these items a new life and are always ready for our next vintage sale.

They continue to meet so many wonderful people in this industry, particularly the younger generation. We can offer them vintage decor in a cool, modern and desirable fashion to decorate their first condo, home or cottage.

Most importantly we are motivated and committed to reduce the amount of unnecessary waste going to the landfill.
