In 2010 out there in California, Rebecca Burgess had a brilliant idea. She wanted to create an entire wardrobe sourced from a cozy little intimate geography, one right up close and personal. She decided her 'region' would be 150 miles from where she set up shop. She gathered about like minded folk who raised the animals, grew the plants to dye the fibres, processed those fibres to the yarn stage & then wove them into fabric she would wear. Her earth friendly project illuminated the economic benefit to bringing 'home' many aspects of the textile supply chain.
