The Barrie Adventist Church is part of a world-wide organization with more than 15 million members in countries around the world. We would be happy to have you join us in worship!
In July 1954 a small group of Adventists began serving their Barrie community from their home-based gathering at the home of the Twaddle Family. In August of the same year, the meeting relocated to the home of Pastor Osborne Lee. Later, in 1968 the company was formally organized into a church and after some transitions in growth, established a more permanent home by purchasing the United Church at Highway 27 and Mapleview Drive (Anderson Road as it was known then).
In 2005, we celebrated the grand opening of our new home at 140 Mapleton Avenue, and continue to carry out our mission of serving our community by organizing educational seminars on topics such as science, health, philosophy and theology on a regular basis. The aim of these seminars is to tangibly demonstrate Gods love for all mankind, while sharing the life-changing good news of His Kingdom.
