Ben Campbell for PR School Board

This is the campaign Facebook page for Ben Campbell running for Pine-Richland School Board.

I am an educator. I work at a University training students for careers in engineering and preparing them to be responsible adults. I see firsthand what skills students are lacking when they graduate high school. I am a researcher. I value data and analytics to make decision based on facts and proven best practices. I am a lifelong learner. I strive to instill that passion and drive in all my students. I am a servant. For seven years I have been a volunteer serving on the board of a nonprofit that has worked with Harrisburg and the Department of Education to bring back the Governor's Schools of Excellence and raised over one million dollars in private funds to support the science program. I am a Pine-Richland Alumnus. I am forever grateful for the amazing opportunities I received from my K-12 education. Serving on the school board is my opportunity to give back to the community that nurtured me and gave me the tools I needed to be a success in life. I am a father. I have two daughters, one of which is school age in in first grade at Wexford Elementary. I want to guide this school district so that it provides for them the way it did for me. I appreciate the teachers that challenged me. I had many wonderful teachers at Pine-Richland, some of them are still there. I hope to provide the resources they need to function as the highly trained educational professionals that they are. I am proud of Pine-Richland. I will do my best to continue it's tradition of excellence, and make sure the schools are meeting the individualized needs of each child. I am Ben Campbell.
