Sales is not a sales hack, or tip or trick.
This I know because I've been successful over the long term.
I joined BlackBerry in 1999, and watched 300 employees grow to over 16,000.
It was thrilling and crazy and fun and maddening. It was 80 hour work weeks and living on planes, with a group of incredible colleagues. It was the fastest way to get smart.
I saw the writing on the wall and sadly left Blackberry in 2011 to join IBM.
I started at IBM as a sales leader focused on large enterprises selling enterprise social software.
I was promoted to Worldwide Managing Editor for MobileFirst Platform responsible for marketing strategy and content development because I was recognized as a mobile practitioner who could translate the "what" to something sell-able.

All of this to say I have invested 15 years in sales, marketing and alliances and been in some pretty interesting places with outstanding people I have learned a lot from.

I understand how large companies buy, how agile companies pivot and how all of these businesses think and scale, but most of all I love a challenge!
I know is that Canada is a hotbed of innovation but the biggest challenge is commercialization of these ideas.
I decided no longer to be a corporate ghost and followed my passion and founded Big Dog Sales Consulting.
