Why BarreConcept Works:
There are elements of the BarreConcept class format that appeal to a broad cross section of people. From Pilates and yoga enthusiasts to gym bunnies as well as dancers there is something in this workout to satisfy everybody.
The non-stop nature of the workout builds stamina and endurance and provides the cardio element needed to burn fat and lose and lose weight. Balls, bands and free weights are added to the class to give further advanced options to sculpt and define targeted areas.
Muscles are worked to fatigue through full range of motion,followed by end range isometric contractions and then a static hold. Stretched for the fatigued muscle groups are done immediately afterwards, to keep the muscles long and lean.
The high energy music makes the workout fun and enjoyable.
Our 60 minute class comprises:
-Aerobic warm up in the centre
-Ballet inspired barre toning exercises to tone the thighs and lift the butt
-Free weights to sculpt the arms
-Floorwork strengeling exercises to flatten the abdominals
-Final stretches to cool down and lengthen the muscles
