Offering Colt Starting, Fine Finishing, General Training, Miles/ Tune-ups & Ranch Work.

Horses in training program are worked with 5-6 days/ week.

Colt Starting: (minimum 60 days booking, 90 days recommended)
$900+ GST/ Month

Extensive Ground work done in first 30 days: lunging, moving out of hind quarters, de sensitization with tarps, ropes, pulling & dragging objects behind. Teaching manners, and respect for handler in gentle way which builds trust. Lots of time focused on getting the colt to respond to pressure, moving off the leg, and having a soft mouth. Once ground work and initial rides are completed inside, horses will be taken out of the arena in order to have them exposed to many different things to make the best all-around horse. Horse are exposed to Calving cows, riding in the mountains through cows, Crossing rivers, riding through the bush, riding in all elements, arena work, roping, various wildlife. Time is still focused on fine tuning (lead changes, stop, spin , collection ect..) Horses will learn patience as they are tied most of the day, until it is their turn to be worked.

Fine Finishing General Training, Miles/ Tune-ups & Ranch Work: (weekly/monthly booking)
$900+ GST/ Month
This is for horses of any age that have already been started and are in need of a refresher, more exposure to different things, or the first few rides put on after some time off. These horses will be exposed to riding alone, through cattle, all aspects of ranch work, roping, crossing creeks, rivers, bogs, bush, and arena work. Horses will be worked on neck reining, walk, trot lope collected and correct circles, turnarounds and stopping in a soft collected manner. Horses will learn patience as they are tied most of the day, until it is their turn to be worked.

Facility:
60X60 indooor arena, large outdoor arena and round pen, endless pasture riding through thousands of acres, 8+ paddocks, indoor stall, blanketing if required clean water and high quality hay provided. Farrier Care is provided at additional cost, as well as chiropractic work.
Horses come on facility are to be up to date on worming/ vaccinations.
