Bsoss- unpaid Family Caregivers

Burnaby Seniors Outreach Services Society- Family Caregiver Support Program. We support unpaid carergivers in Burnaby, BC who look after a relative, friend or neighbour who is frail, disabled, and/or has a long term illness.

Our aims:

- To empower caregivers to be involved in decisions and making choices that affect their lives.
- To ensure that caregivers are recognised and valued.
- To inform caregivers of their rights and help them to access the services and support to which they are entitled.
- To enable caregivers to acquire skills, knowledge and understanding of their role as a carer.
- To enable caregivers to access a good quality of life within and outside caring (to include health and well-being, leisure, education and employment).
