Industrial Mechanical Millwright Techniques

Cambrian College's Industrial Mechanical Millwright Techniques program instructs and trains students to diagnose, install, and maintain plant machinery in a systematic manner and with a high degree of efficiency. Students gain hands-on experience in the millwright laboratory and train on real industrial equipment used by industry.

The Industrial Mechanical Millwright Techniques program offers the student training that is consistent with the in-school component of a millwright apprenticeship. In addition, the student increases his/her communication skills and gains hands-on millwright training in the laboratory. Students completing this program may enter as an apprentice in industry or continue into the College's Industrial Mechanical Millwright Technician program.

The millwright is employed in the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex industrial mechanical machinery in existing and new construction. As such, the millwright deals with critical pieces of machinery that are vital to the operation of the plant.

Industrial Mechanical Millwright Technician

Cambrian College's Industrial Mechanical Millwright Technician program instructs and trains students to diagnose, install, and maintain plant machinery in a systematic manner and with a high degree of efficiency. Students gain hands-on experience in the millwright laboratory and train on real industrial equipment used by the industry. In addition, students increase their skills in communication, computers, and computer-aided drafting.

The training in the Industrial Mechanical Millwright Technician program is consistent with the in-school component of a millwright apprenticeship. Students completing this program may enter industry as an apprentice or continue into Cambrian College's Industrial Mechanical Millwright
Technician program.
