Chiropractic
The Doctor of Chiropractic is a neuromusculoskeletal specialist, who works directly with the nerves, bones, muscles and joints of the body. These are the essential parts of the body that control your posture and your ability to move. When these parts of your body do not function well or are injured, they present as common conditions like: neck and back pain, headaches, numbness and tingling, poor sleep. Chiropractic care is a drug-free, non-invasive approach to treating common musculoskeletal conditions, and complications arising from treatment are rare.

There have been many controlled and independent research studies that have repeatedly shown that chiropractic care is safe and effective for treating low back pain, neck pain, headaches and other conditions relating to the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors assess and treat patients with disorders related to the spine, extremities, and pelvis and their effects on the nervous system. Chiropractors specialize in treating all regions of the body, including shoulders, knees, ankles and wrists.

Chiropractors can treat dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system with techniques such as joint manipulation, or adjustments (to help decrease pain and increase mobility), soft tissue techniques (to decrease scar tissue, and restore function), as well as prescribing strengthening, stretching and rehabilitation exercises to help restore function. Chiropractors can also give you strategies to help prevent future injuries, such as prescribing core strengthening exercises to help stabilize your spine and strengthen your abdominal muscles. If the nervous system is functioning without interference, the entire body functions at its best.

Massage Therapy/Reiki/Reflexology
Massage therapy addresses a variety of health conditions, specializing in relief for a wide range of conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction, pain management, rehabilitation, and stress-related tension. Massage therapy uses a scientific method of using the hands to restore function and can aid with the healing process of many physical, mental and emotional ailments. Our Massage Therapists are registered through an organization who oversees required training and testing for all practitioners.

Custom Orthotics
Prescription orthotics are medical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. Orthotics work on the feet in the same way braces work on the teeth - by exerting gentle consistent pressure to bring muscles, ligaments and bones back into proper alignment. The overwhelming majority of lower limb problems, and a fair number of lower back, knee, and hip complaints, are caused by abnormal biomechanics of the foot. A large percentage of these problems can be successfully treated with shoe inserts - called orthotics.
