Cheapside Community Hall

The Cheapside Community Hall has a long history within the community dating back almost 100 years. Cheapside is a small farming village and values the hall as a place for residents and users or all ages to come together to socialize and learn within the community.

The hall is managed and operated by the Cheapside Hall Board of Directors ~ all volunteers, committed to maintaining and sustaining the facility. The hall has been community tradition since December 1911, when it was a meeting place for the Canadian Order of Chosen Friends.

A meeting was held by the citizens of Cheapside to take over the hall from the C.O.C.F in September of 1925, at which time the 1st annual board meeting of The Cheapside Community Hall was held. Today the 3rd Generation of the original board members continues the tradition.

The facility perfect for family gatherings: birthdays, anniversaries, showers, christenings, and picnics. For business it provides a place to have holiday parties, dinners, business meetings, training, and educations sessions. The Cheapside community hall also provides the perfect forum for public meetings and fundraising events.

The hall will hold 100-120 for dinners and 180 -200 for auditorium style events. A large stage and kitchen make the hall the perfect venue for your next event. Hall rental fees are very affordable. $80-hall and kitchen. $35- kitchen only. Please call 905-776-2762 for more information.
