CMHS owns Lordly Estate Museum, and Chester Train Station. The Estate encompasses a local park which includes a winter skating rink, walking trails, gazebo, and jungle gym ; Maple Cottage, which houses a C@P site , First Municipal Office display, and historical archives ; and Lordly House Museum, a house which takes it's visitors back to 1806 to the time of Charles Inglis Lordly and family. Chester Train Station has Visitor Information Centre, Hawboldt Gas Engines display, Oak Island display.Laybrinth ,Chester Artist art sales,bike rentals.

In the museum you will find displays on the American Connection, Turncoat Victory, and Blandford Whaling Station.

In Maple Cottage the C@P site offers free internet access, printing, photocopying and scanning. We have digital cameras and video cameras for rent. It houses displays on the First Municipal Office, Foresters, and Ideal Maternity Home.

We have data on the Ideal Maternity Home, Oak Island, Genealogy of local families, Folklore, Lunenburg County History, Foresters, and much more!

The Chester Train Station also known as the Chester Visitor Information Centre. It houses visitor information on local businesses, recreation and accommodations, as well as the Train Station Gallery (display by locals artists, and the Oak Island Treasure display.

The CHMS also took part in the Restoration of the Lightfoote Tower, located on the property of the historical Zoe Valle Library. The Library is neighbour to the Lordly Estate on Central Street, and contains a multitude of books available to the public.
