Coach Smitty

Hello, my name as Matthew Smith and I am a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach at The Athlete Factory in SE Calgary! I am originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I grow up with a large sporting background where I later focused on Rugby as my main sport, playing at the university and provincial levels. Currently, I specialize in speed, acceleration, change of direction and explosive power.

I have two degrees from St. Francis Xavier University, in Antigonish Nova Scotia. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition. These professional based programs have allowed me to develop my knowledge around sports training and performance.
