Colimar Outposts

Spend your summer vacation deep in the bush of Northern Ontario. We have three beautiful rustic log cabins, each on their own secluded lake. These lakes are so remote we have to fly you up there, where your cell phone turns into a paperweight.

Though rustic and secluded, we've added eco-friendly elements to make you feel a little more at home. A cozy wood stove and solar lights for cold dark nights, a solar-run hot water tank for showers in the morning, barbecues on the deck, outdoor furniture to kick back in, and a propane fridge and stove to freeze your fish or cook them up.

Each camp has 14' boats and 6-8 hp Mercury outboards to help you fish for Walleye or Northern Pike in the summer, or hunt for Moose in the fall. We'll bring you extra gas, and replenish your supplies, when we do a mid-week camp check.

These are the outpost camps of the former Colimar Lodge, still operated by Fran Koning and George McCullagh. We no longer run our Lodge in Jellicoe, so now we can focus all our energy on our favorite part of Colimar- our gorgeous remote camps.

It can be really hard, these days, to get away from the streetlights to see the stars, or get somewhere truly quiet enough to hear the lonely loon calls. That's why we're so proud and happy to share these secret gems with you. These are the only cabins on each lake! Fresh air, solitude, wilderness - all yours for a week!
