Dave Lundquist Photography

My photography experience began with my first camera at age 12. A low quality Kodak 110. I took quite a few photos with that cheap little camera and still have the prints from those days. At 14 my parents bought me a nice point and shoot with a fast 2.8 lens. I shot more and more images and started to develop a true sense of enjoyment from being able to capture a fleeting moment.

I purchased my first SLR from a garage sale at the age of 16 and really began to get a feel for framing, exposure and subject. Back then the thought never crossed my mind that photography would one day become a true passion and provide me with an income.

I had my first paying job for the Kingston Whig Standard newspaper; two years before I enrolled in the photojournalism program at SAIT. It was that experience that lead me to make photography my full time job for sometime.

Many years later I would put down the camera and go back to school. I had lost much of my love for photography and was not feeling inspired anymore. After taking a few years away from the game of photography I found my love and passion once again. I am back behind the lens and it feels great. A new found sense of inspiration has lead me back to the art form I love most.

Sometimes a break is all we need to be able to get back what was lost. I hope you find some images on this page that you enjoy. All images are for sale and will be available on different types of media such as canvas and acid free archival quality photo paper. Custom sizing and photoshopping also available. Some limitations on size may apply to certain images.
