Kaya was a Turkish chemical engineer and became a chef in 2009. He worked in Michelin star restaurants all over Europe and North America and taught at the Stratford Chef School for several years before starting a pop-up dinner series.
Maddalena is a painter and ceramicist who became a family law lawyer in Toronto. Both share a love of food, culture, innovation and style. They met in 2013 and have been cooking and eating together ever since. The Death in Venice Gelato Company will be their first love child.
