Donna's Enwraptured Designs

Hello! My name is Donna and I have been making jewelry and wire-wrapping for the past ten years. My page, EnWraptured Designs, is where I post pictures of my latest designs. Most of my work features advanced and intricate wire wrapping techniques including weaving, coiling, and tooling. I've added etching and metal work to many of my designs. I enjoy experimenting with new desings and techniques. Most of my work is done in solid copper, which I oxidize for an antiqued effect. I also occasionaly work in sterling silver and brass. All of my work is done in solid metals- so every piece is heirloom quality. I make all of my own findings and artisan connectors and components.

A lot of my inspiration comes from the past- from medieval amulets to Art Nuevo pieces. I also have a particular affection for the Victorian period, and much of my work has a decidedly steampunk feel or theme. I mainly wrap around artisan hand-made lampwork beads and hand-picked semi-precious stones. I source my lampwork beads on Facebook markets from talented and wonderful designers around the world and local art shows and markets. I source my semi-precious stones at bead stores, rock and gem shows, and bead shows! I also like to wrap interesting "found" items (sea glass, stones, shells, skeleton keys, glass vials, etc.). My next challenge will be lampworking- and making jewelry with my own handmade glass beads!
